1. Select your credit card online and go to 'Apply now'
2. Enter your details to get a security code via SMS
3. Enter the security code
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue your application
5. Prepare and upload the required documents
6. Submit your application

What can I do with an HSBC credit card?

With HSBC credit card, you can:

• Purchase goods and services with your HSBC credit card in Vietnam and when you are traveling overseas at 30 million retailers displaying a Visa logo
• Access cash from your credit card account with your card and PIN at HSBC ATMs or other banks’ ATM displaying a VISA/PLUS logo worldwide
• Enjoy fabulous shopping, dining, entertainment, traveling at a discount under our home&Away Privilege Programme at over 19,000 retailers in over 40 countries/territories across Asia Pacific, Americas, Europe and Middle East
• Enjoy 0% Interest Installment Plan. Buy now and pay later over a period of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months
• Link your primary credit card with your HSBC demand deposit account to make it function the same way as an ATM card. The benefit is not applicable to supplementary credit card unless the supplementary credit cardholder has their own demand deposit account

What is my credit limit if I have been approved for a credit card?

The assignment of credit card limit depends on a number of factors. In general, the maximum credit limit will be 4 times your monthly net income for Platinum Card, 3 times your monthly net income for Cash Back Card, and 2 times for Classic Card.

I have successfully applied for a credit card. May I increase my credit limit to cater for my spending need, or do you adjust my limit from time to time?

We will review your credit limit and will adjust your credit limit provided you are eligible.

However, if you wish to increase your credit limit, you may also complete a request form for credit limit increase and return it to us with the income proof for the past 3 months for further processing. We will then assess it for eligibility.

Before you use your Card, please read this Credit Cardholder Agreement carefully. By using your Card (which includes activating), you will be taken to have accepted the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement and will be bound by them.

By using the HSBC Vietnam app:

• Step 1: Log on to the HSBC Vietnam app and select your credit card account from the summary page
• Step 2: Tap 'Manage cards'
• Step 3: Select 'Activate card'
• Step 4: Tap 'Activate' to submit your request

• Step 2: Press 1 for Vietnamese or 2 for English and then enter your 16-digit card number followed by '#'
• Step 3: Press 1 for card activation
• Step 4: Answer your security questions

• Check the sticker on the back of your new card for easy instructions on how to activate it by SMS

You can easily settle your credit card outstanding balance via 5 available convenient channels:

1. AutoPay: Direct debited from your designated HSBC bank account on the payment due date. To enroll, call our Contact Center or visit a nearby Branch/ T.O to fill in a form.
2. Cash deposit at our Branches/ T.Os: Visit our Branches/ T.Os in Vietnam to deposit cash to your credit card during our operating hours.
3. Transfer from your HSBC account: Simply transfer fund from your HSBC account to settle your HSBC credit card: 
   1. Through HSBC Online Banking; HSBC Vietnam Mobile banking application. To register, visit http://www.hsbc.com.vn/ or download “HSBC Vietnam” app on Apple Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
   2. At HSBC Automated Teller Machine (ATM).
   3. By calling HSBC Contact Center to request.
4. Transfer from account of other banks to your HSBC credit card.

Please provide accurate information in payment request as follows:

• Beneficiary account number: 16 digits embossed on credit card
• Beneficiary account name: Cardholder’s name
• Beneficiary bank name: HSBC Vietnam
• Beneficiary bank address: 235 Dong Khoi Street, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
• Amount: Amount that you want to pay for your credit card balance
• Narrative: Narrative that you want to enter (E.g. Card repayment…)
   

Note: Service fee for transfer request, if any, will be applied by Remittance bank, not by Beneficiary bank. Please contact your Remittance bank for more details.

5. Payment via connected stores of Payoo.
