Things you should know

Who can apply?

To apply for an HSBC Visa Classic LiveFree Credit Card, you must meet all of the following criteria:

Be aged 21 or above
Have a minimum monthly income transferred from a company account of: VND8 million if you're a salaried Vietnamese citizen; VND15 million if you're a salaried foreigner; VND15 million, if you're a Vietnamese citizen who is self-employed or a business owner
Be working and residing in the following cities or provinces: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Long An, Da Nang, Hue, Hoi An, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Tay Ninh, Bac Ninh, Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Hai Phong
Have had permission to reside in Vietnam for at least 12 consecutive months when you apply, if you're a foreigner living in Vietnam

You'll need to submit the following information to apply for this credit card:

A completed credit card application form
Identification documents for the primary cardholder and any supplementary cardholders
Current proof of address
Employment and income documents for the primary cardholder

Your overseas cash withdrawal limit is subject to State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) regulations.
You can apply for a supplementary card for your spouse or family member. But your credit limit won't increase. Instead, the total credit limit will be shared across both the supplementary cards and the primary card.

Your credit card limit depends on a number of factors. In general, the maximum credit limit will be 4 times your monthly net income for a Platinum Credit Card, 3 times your monthly net income for a Cash Back Credit Card, and 2 times for a Classic Credit Card.

We will review your credit limit from time to time and will adjust your credit limit if you are eligible.

However, if you want to increase your credit limit, you may also complete a request form for a credit limit increase and return it to us with the income proof for the past 3 months for further processing. We will then assess it for eligibility.
