Real-time fund transfers using QR code

Transfer in just few simple steps by scanning your payee’s VietQR code via the HSBC Vietnam app:

Scan your payee’s VietQR code, either by tapping ‘Scan QR code’ to scan or choosing one from your gallery.
Enter the amount and necessary details swiftly for your transfer. You can save payee details with a nickname for future use.
Review the transfer carefully, then confirm.

You need to register for Online Banking before you can use the HSBC Mobile Banking app.

Frequently asked questions

You can add your contact details or change your existing details. You can do this for email and your phone numbers.

Select the profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Select 'Update your personal details'.
Add a new phone number or email address, or select an existing one to change it.

Mobile Banking is designed specifically for ease of use on mobile devices. Your phone's built-in features like touchscreens are used and information is properly formatted for a smaller screen.

It depends on which version of the app you have. You can check app version you currently use by clicking the 3 dots icon at the top right corner of the log on screen.

For app version 3.35.3 and below, we support below operating system until 18 Aug 2023:

iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with iOS version 13.0 or above.
Mobile handsets with Android OS version 7 or above.
Android tablets with Android OS version 7.0 or above and a display screen size of 7 inch or larger.

For app version 3.37 and above, we support:

iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with iOS version 14.0 or above.
Mobile handsets with Android OS version 8 or above.
Android tablets with Android OS version 8 or above and a display screen size of 7 inch or larger.

You can continue to use your current version of the HSBC Vietnam app until 18 August 2023. If you do not update your device's operating system to Android version 8.0/ iOS version 14 or above, you will no longer be able to use the HSBC Vietnam app.

If you do not have a compatible device, please contact us for further assistance.

For device using iOS, you can go to Settings >> General >> About. Look for 'Version' or 'Software Version'

For device using Android, you can go to Settings >> (System) >> About phone >> Android version (this path may vary by device)
